At Intrinsic Therapy, every massage treatment is tailored to your individual needs. Depending on your goals and what I find during your assessment, I may use one or a combination of the following techniques and approaches.

Swedish Massage

A foundational massage technique using a variety of strokes and pressures to improve circulation, ease muscle tension, and promote relaxation. Swedish massage can be incorporated into therapeutic treatments or used on its own for general relaxation and well-being.

Chinese Cupping

Cupping uses specialized cups to create gentle suction on the skin and underlying tissues. It can be used to address areas of muscle tension, improve tissue mobility, and complement hands-on massage therapy.

Myofascial Release

A hands-on technique that works with the fascia—the connective tissue surrounding muscles and other structures throughout the body. Myofascial techniques can help address areas of restriction and improve mobility and ease of movement.

Graston Technique

A specialized form of instrument-assisted soft tissue therapy using stainless-steel instruments to identify and treat areas of soft tissue restriction. It may be incorporated into treatment when appropriate to help improve tissue mobility and function.

Trigger Point Therapy

Focused pressure is applied to specific areas of muscle tension, commonly known as trigger points. These areas can sometimes contribute to pain or discomfort elsewhere in the body, so treating the source can be an important part of a therapeutic massage treatment.

Relaxation Massage

A gentler massage focused on relaxation, reducing general muscle tension, and giving your body and mind a chance to slow down. Pressure and treatment style are adapted to your preferences and comfort level.

Deep Tissue Massage

A more focused approach using deeper pressure and specific techniques to address areas of persistent muscle tension and soft tissue restriction. Deep tissue massage isn't simply about using more pressure—it is about applying the appropriate techniques to the areas that need them.

Lymphatic Drainage

A gentle, rhythmic technique designed to encourage the movement of lymph fluid through the lymphatic system. This type of treatment uses light pressure and specific movements rather than the deeper pressure associated with traditional massage.

Stretching & Strengthening

Massage is only one part of maintaining healthy movement. When appropriate, I may provide personalized stretching and strengthening exercises as part of your post-treatment homecare plan. These recommendations are designed to help you maintain the benefits of your treatment and support your progress between appointments.

A little more about your appointments

Your First Visit

15 minutes to assess. 60 minutes to treat.

*All subsequent sessions are 60 minutes long.

*Price per session - $115 taxes incl.

*Direct billing is available for most insurance plans. Since coverage varies between providers and individual policies, we recommend confirming your coverage with your insurance company before your appointment.

A Treatment Plan That Works for You

You don't need to know which technique you need before you book. I'll assess your individual needs, listen to your concerns and goals, and recommend a treatment approach based on my professional experience. We'll then work together to create a treatment plan that you understand, feel comfortable with, and are confident moving forward with. Your treatment may incorporate several techniques in the same session, and your plan can be adjusted as your needs change.
